- Gianluca Antonini : EPFL PhD Prize , January 20, 2006. Institution: EPFL. Description: The jury has proceeded in two steps, selecting 8 PhD theses during the first round. Two of these were granted the prizes and two others were transferred to the Chorafas Foundation Award. However, the jury felt that the other 4 candidates also deserve some visibility since after all their scientific work is (according to the opinion of the jury) ranking among the best 4 % (8 out of 250) PhD theses awarded by EPFL in 2005.
