| | | This project extends previous work on pickup-and-delivery routing in collaboration with Swiss Post by focusing on the computation of an optimal single-day delivery route. The baseline scenario is compared with hypothetical scenarios in which additional constraints are imposed, such as road closures, restricted access time windows, or vehicle-type limitations. The student must propose and evaluate quantitative performance indicators, in addition to finding the optimal routes, to compare the baseline and hypothetical scenarios; these indicators may include the number of skipped deliveries, time saved or lost for other deliveries during the day, and CO2 emissions. Finally, the student should explicitly model the transportation network and analyse how the imposed constraints affect both network feasibility and routing performance.
