We derive an utmost simple microscopic queueing model of bidirectional pedestrian flow through long channels. The model is to the extent possible consistent with the Kinematic Wave Model and requires the calibration of only four parameters. Its fundamental diagram is derived and compared to real data (joint work with Gregor Laemmel, FZ Juelich).
