Second Prize in the Image category of the 2015 ACCES Visualization Contest
Description: Computed-generated visualization of scientific and engineering data, whether originating from numerical simulation or experimentation, can convey important technical information but also reveal original and sometimes surprising visual aspects. The ACCES Visualization Contest is aimed at fostering interest in the use of visualization by encouraging the insightful and visually-engaging presentation of scientific and engineering data. The contest is open annually for contributions from students and post-docs within the School of Engineering (STI) and the School of Architecture, Civil & Environmental Engineering (ENAC) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). A total of 55 entries were submitted to the 2015 ACCES Visualization Contest, 35 in the Image category and 20 in the Animation category.

ENAC Research Day 2013 Doctoral poster award - 3rd prize
Institution: School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering, EPFL
Description: The Research Commission of the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC) has organized a poster competition for doctoral students in the context of the 2013 Research Day. The selection procedure, led by the ENAC Research Commission, consisted in selecting around thirty projects based on submitted project abstracts. Accepted projects were exhibited at the Research Day and participated in the poster competition. Antonin Danalet's poster, about bayesian estimation of pedestrian activities using sensors data, won the 3rd prize.

Invited participation in Global Young Scientist Summit, shortlisted for the Singapore Challenge
Institution: Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF)
Description: Invited to the 2013 Global Young Scientist Summit (GYSS) in Singapore, attended by internationally eminent scientists and technology leaders, including ten Nobel prize winners and a Fields medalist. Shortlisted for the Singapore Challenge 2013 "Innovation for Future Cities" about envisioning opportunities for sustainable development in cities with dense populations and heavy demands on infrastructure, with a white paper on Walkable Future Cities.
